Introduction To The Arts
The arts can take many different shapes and forms. In fact, the arts can be categorized into several different categories. They include visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, and culinary arts. Just about any type of art will fall into one of those four categories.
Some of the earliest forms of art can be traced back to the Ancient Greeks and the Ancient Romans. The early form of arts found the Ancient Greeks using animals as the subjects, while the Ancient Romans depicted the gods in human form. The arts continued to evolve in the Middle Ages, and this is where the various categories of the arts were acknowledged.
As mentioned above, the different types of arts could fit into one of several categories. In general, arts can be described as the application and expression using creativity. Here is a brief look at each of the arts category, with some examples:
Visual Arts – This area is a very large category that covers many different aspects of the arts. They include painting, sculpting, ceramics, architecture, and photography. All of these types of arts are pleasing to your sight.
Performing Arts – In the Performing Arts area are performances in the theater, dance and in music. The arts in this area touch all of the senses and take practice to perfect performances.

We feel that any of the arts are worthwhile. All of the arts mentioned above are all equally important and are creative outlets for artists and their expression. While we have major categories for the arts, several are connected. For example, a theater presentation is in the performing arts category, it also utilizes writing which is in the literary arts category.
We have been a strong supporter of the arts in the past, and we hope it flourishes for centuries to come.
