About Star Fall Arts

The story of Star Fall Arts goes back to 2005. But, the name dates back much further. When I was a kid, I was outside looking at the stars, when suddenly I noticed a shooting star. I asked my mom, why did the star fall? The term star fall stuck with me, and as I grew up, I started to grow fond of the arts. So, when the opportunity to provide a space for artists to grow, I started Star Fall Arts.

The original facility was located in an annex of the office building that I owned. It was a very simple, one-room place when we were able to display paintings and sculptures of local artists. It was only open a couple of days a week, for a few hours, and the staff consisted of my family. Costs were very minimal!

We were in this building for a couple of years during which we started to become a popular spot for artists and art aficionados. We started to make a connection with the local school districts who wanted to work with us in providing supplemental arts education. With the increased interest in our work, we expanded our hours as much as we could. However, our facilities and staffing we were limited in what we could offer to the public.

But the timing was good in that our area was in the process of an arts renaissance and were looking to bolster the area. A federal grant to attained by the city and money was available to renovate several buildings. One of them would eventually become the new home of Star Fall Arts.

Once we moved to the new building, we started to increase the art offerings to artists and the public. We increased the number of art offerings and expanded to other areas. We started the Star Fall Arts Writers Center a few years after, which became a great space for aspiring writers.

We continue to support the arts in all of our efforts and bring the joy of the arts to young and old, alike.
